Programme 2023
Our annual programme includes monthly Club Meetings, Coach Trips, Talks, and a Plant Sale.
If you would like more information on any of the Club's activities please contact us.
Monthly Meetings and Talks
Our Club Meetings take place on the first Friday evening of most months from 7.45-9.45 and include an illustrated talk from a guest speaker. This is also a great opportunity for Club members to catch up and share news. There is always a great selection of home-made cakes and biscuits to enjoy with tea and coffee. Non-members are welcome to join us - see the Talks page for details.
Coach Trips and Outings
We run an annual full-day coach trip to a place of horticultural interest, usually a National Trust or similar place. We travel up to one and half hours away by coach. In addition, we arrange self-drive group visit to a National Garden Scheme garden locally, usually one that is open only to group visits as well as an annual trip to RHS Wisley, making use of our free entry as an Affiliated Group.
Plant Sale
The Club's Plant Sale, held annually in mid May is a popular fund raising event which is ideal for stocking up on summer plants and vegetables
Annual General Meeting
The Club holds an Annual General Meeting at the start of each year at which members receive a report on last year's activities and finances, elect a committee and discuss any business about running the Club. The next AGM is planned for Friday 3rd March 2023.
